Raza Moshwan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the IUBAT – International University of Business Agriculture and Technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He completed his PhD in Materials Engineering from The University of Queensland, Australia under the supervision of Professor Jin Zou and Professor Zhi-Gang Chen. He has been awarded several prestigious scholarships including International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS) and UQ Centennial Scholarship (UQCent) from The University of Queensland (accept); RMIT PhD International Scholarship (RPIS) from RMIT (decline); Curtin Strategic International Research Scholarship (CSIRS) from Curtin University (decline); and QUT Postgraduate Research Award (QUTPRA) from QUT (decline) for his PhD study. In his early career, Dr. Moshwan worked as a visiting researcher in the Joining and Welding Research Institute (JWRI) at the Osaka University, Japan. He possesses an extensive knowledge on Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), FEI Scios Focused Ion Beam (FIB) machine and X-ray diffraction analyses. He obtained his M.Eng.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Malaya, Malaysia and B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Khulna University of Engineering and Technology, Bangladesh. His research focuses on the welding, brazing and the development of high‐performance nano structured metal chalcogenide thermoelectric and the understanding of the underlying mechanisms.
