As a Faculty member, Dr KMN Sarwar Iqbal has been with the department of Mechanical Engineering at IUBAT since October, 2009. He was the first Director of IQAC of IUBAT. Dr Iqbal received B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Prairie View A & M University of Texas, USA in 2001 and 2003 respectively.
Besides that, he also has received Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Islamic University of Technology (IUT), OIC, Dhaka in 2014. While he was studying in the USA he took part in research work in the projects of NASA and US Air Force. His interest of research is in the area of Heat Transfer through boiling and condensation in industries, microelectronics, Renewable Energy (Solagen) as well as in Mechanical Engineering Design.
