Dr. Raza Moshwan earned his PhD in Materials Engineering from The University of Queensland (UQ), Australia, under the prestigious International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS), and received the Dean’s Award for Outstanding Higher Degree by Research Theses. His doctoral research, supervised by Prof. Zhi-Gang Chen, a world-leading scientist in thermoelectrics, and Prof. Jin Zou, a world-leading scientist in transmission electron microscopy, focused on developing innovative, cost-effective, and high-performance eco-friendly SnTe-based thermoelectric materials.

He holds a Master of Engineering in Manufacturing Processes from the University of Malaya, Malaysia, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), Bangladesh. Dr. Moshwan advanced his research career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) under the highly competitive President’s International Fellowship Initiative (PIFI), followed by a role as Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Australia.

His research interests include welding, brazing, and the development of high‐performance nanostructured metal chalcogenide thermoelectrics, with a strong focus on understanding their fundamental mechanisms. His work has been published in leading high-impact journals, including Advanced Functional Materials, Advanced Materials, ACS Nano, Nano Energy, Nano Today, Journal of Materials Chemistry A, and Materials & Design, among others.
