ME students place 4th Internationally at the TechFest 2017-2018 competition

IUBAT Decepticons, a robotics team from the Mechanical Engineering Department of IUBAT participated in the Techfest 2017-18 organized by the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Bombay, India. The team, the only one from Bangladesh, competed in this international event and won the 4^th position out of 77 international teams.

Earlier, IUBAT Decepticons had participated in “Crane-O-Mania” and stood 1^st nationally. Crane-O-Mania was organized by the ICT ministry of the Government of Bangladesh. Five students from the Mechanical Engineering Department were involved in this innovation project of building a crane without any screws or fasteners. They are Mostahid Ahmed, Rubayet Ahmed, Mashrur Alam, Md. Ashraf Ali and Mostafizur Rahman Khan.
